Giving Thanks

Dan Bolin
“Gratitude is an offering precious in the sight of God, and it is one that the poorest of us can make and be not poorer but richer for having made it.” –A.W. Tozer

In the United States, this week is set aside for Thanksgiving. So, Refueling in Flight will give thanks as well. Space allows for only three, but this list could go on and on!

First, I give thanks for you. Paul began his letter to the Philippians with these words, “I thank my God on every remembrance of you.” (Philippians 1:3) Thank you for reading and often responding to these devotions each week.

Second, I give thanks for the Board for Directors. Their counsel and guidance focuses my retirement days; investing my time into five significant compartments:

  1. Weekly devotion writing.

  2. Book writing – hopefully, book #1 Thou Shalt Camp will be published in 2020. Book #2, Jesus: Camp Director is in the pipeline for 2021.

  3. Teaching – CCI-Spain, CCCA-Ozark Section, CCCA-Super Section (Great Northern and Northwest Sections), Dallas Seminary, and Evangelical Theological College in Ethiopia are on the docket for 2020.

  4. CEO Dialogues – Four are scheduled for 2020

  5. Men’s Adventure Fishing Trip – Plans are underway for an October 2020 fishing trip to New Mexico. Signup for UPDATES

Third, I give thanks for those who have generously provided support for RIF Ministries, making this work possible.

Happy Thanksgiving!
